The Needle Galaxy is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 40 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices, close to the Coma Galaxy Cluster. It is one of the best-known edge-on spiral galaxies in the night sky, similar in size but brighter than the Andromeda Galaxy.
