The Great Hercules Cluster (Messier 13)

The Great Hercules globular cluster is composed of several hundred thousand stars, and has a diameter of 145 light years. It is located around 25000 light-years away from Earth. Within the cluster, stars are packed 100 times more densly than in our galactic neighbourhood.
